Piercings Done Right: Why Professional Piercing Matters

Piercings are a beautiful way to express yourself—whether it's your first lobe piercing or something a little more adventurous. But getting pierced isn’t something to take lightly. It’s a process that involves your body, your health, and your healing—and that’s why it’s so important to make sure your piercing is done by a trained professional. At our studio, we believe in doing things right the first time. That means clean techniques, safe materials, and expert knowledge you can trust.

Why Choosing a Professional Piercer Matters

A trained piercer isn’t just someone who knows how to push a needle through skin. They are trained to:

  • Recognize Proper Anatomy: Everyone's body is a little different. A professional piercer will assess your anatomy to determine the best placement for your piercing, ensuring it's not only aesthetically pleasing but also safe and functional.

  • Use High-Quality, Safe Jewelry: Not all jewelry is created equal. Our piercer uses implant-grade materials that are safe for initial piercings and help minimize irritation and infection risk. The size, shape, and material all play a role in how well your body accepts the piercing.

  • Provide Clear Aftercare Instructions: Healing doesn’t stop when you leave the studio. A good piercer will walk you through everything you need to do at home to ensure your piercing heals properly and comfortably.

Piercing Aftercare: What You Need to Know

Taking care of your new piercing is essential for avoiding infection and promoting proper healing. Here are the basics:

DO:

  • Clean the area gently with a sterile saline solution 1–2 times a day.

  • Wash your hands before touching or cleaning your piercing.

  • Be mindful of clothing, headphones, or hair that might snag your jewelry.

  • Sleep in a way that avoids pressure on the piercing, especially in the early weeks.

DON’T:

  • Don’t twist or turn your jewelry—it can cause trauma to the healing tissue.

  • Don’t use alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or ointments (they’re too harsh and can delay healing).

  • Avoid swimming in pools, lakes, hot tubs, and oceans until your piercing is fully healed. These environments can introduce bacteria and chemicals that can lead to infection or irritation.

Healing times vary depending on the location of the piercing. While some heal in a few weeks, others can take several months. Your piercer will give you a more specific timeline and answer any questions you have.

Age Restrictions & Walk-In Availability

Not all piercings are appropriate for all ages. Our professional piercer follows age guidelines to ensure safety and proper care. We require valid ID and may need a parent or guardian present for minors, depending on the piercing.

Age restrictions vary by piercing, so it’s best to call or message us with your specific questions. We’re always happy to help you understand what’s possible.

Walk-ins are welcome, too! As long as our piercer is available, we’re happy to accommodate you. But for more complex piercings or if you have specific questions, booking ahead can ensure you get the time and attention you need.
